B & A Teams Make It Back-to-Back 17-1 Wins

Our B team dominated Division 4 with a decisive 17-1 win against Penwortham C on Tuesday, September 29, keeping them at the top of the table and boosting their points from 10 to 14. The momentum continued the next day in Division 3, where Beyond Badminton A team mirrored that success with their own 17-1 victory over BLS to firmly hold their number-one spot.

Meanwhile, our C team remains at the bottom of the standings with zero points after four matches, but the scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story. The team is showing clear signs of growth, with improving scores each week as they learn, adapt, and build on-court chemistry.

The ladies' team will take the spotlight next week on Friday, 9 October 2026.

Club Update: Strong Starts and Great Progress Across Our Teams
It has been an action-packed start to the season, and we have plenty of brilliant updates to share from across our teams!

A & B Teams Leading the Way
Both our A Team and B Team are off to a flying start this season. Thanks to some fantastic performances on the court, both teams currently sit in pole position at the top of their respective divisions. Let's keep this incredible momentum going!

C Team Focuses on Development
While our C Team are still hunting for their first win of the season, the scoreboard doesn't reflect the real story. The team is making huge strides in personal development and team cohesion every week. The wins will undoubtedly come, but the progress we are seeing right now is a victory in itself. Keep working hard, everyone!

Ladies Team Ready for Mid-October Challenge
Our Ladies Team have faced a tough start to their campaign, but they have a massive opportunity right around the corner. The team will be looking to showcase their skills and bounce back strong in their next fixture, taking place 09th of October at the Clayton Green Sports Centre.

Squad selection

How Teams Are Picked

Captains & Vice-Captains

Every team has both; roles to be confirmed. They select weekly using the "free rotation" method, based on opponent, points, pairs and availability.

Minimum Games

Development Squad players are guaranteed at least 1 in 3 matches.

Squad Flexibility

Teams A & B run small squads with two dedicated players held in reserve, giving the captain flexibility to call on them when required.

Community Contribution Counts

Volunteering, attending weekly sessions, and supporting women's and junior growth are all considered alongside playing ability.

Returning After Time Away

Injury, illness or maternity returns go through a phased return to fitness before re-entering a team slot, at the coach's discretion.

We Need Each Other

Every player who shows up gives someone else a match. No opponent, no game for anyone.

Cup Matches & Additional Tournaments

Every team also plays in the Mid-Lancs Cup, plus access to the Mid-Lancs Handicap Tournament (Singles, Mixed and Level events).
